At the end of our All Sections (Beavers, Cubs and Scouts) walk, picnic and scavenger hunt on Good Friday...
Okay, so the news page is a bit out of date. But that's not because we haven't done anything, it's because we've been too busy out having fun to update our website! Ask one of our members...
This is a village wide event with a bike tour round the village and lots of other things to do. We will be manning a check point at the scout hut again this year. Want to take part? More details at http://www.forestrowfestival.org

Thank you for to all East Grinstead district team for all the hard work making this a great camp for everyone. Now whens the next one?! Forest Row Twiining Association organise a fun day on the green. In proper scout style we do teas, cakes and a bottle stall to help raise money for the group.
This year the cubs and scouts put up a patrol tent in the ring to promote scouting. I think we might do cooking next year...... Once upon a time (around the end of April 2012), the 1st Forest Row Cub Scouts decided to hold a camp…. They didn’t know it would turn out to be one of the wettest weekends of the year!
However, despite wind, rain and general sogginess, both the Cubs and the leaders enjoyed the camp to the max! We managed an outdoor campfire with songs on the Friday night before the rain really kicked in and then after a filling breakfast on the Saturday, we went on a three hour hike (well done Cubs!) over the Ashdown Forest. We then took part in a range of bushcraft style activities including shelter building, knot tying and fire lighting…. Not as easy as they may sound when it’s pouring with rain! The Cubs made some wonderful nature collages to show what they had learnt at camp and then we circled up and each Cub explained to the group what they had enjoyed the most about camp and what had been their toughest challenge. Lots of Cubs said the rain had been a real challenge but they all said they enjoyed camp and can’t wait until the next one! The Group will be organising teas, coffee and cakes plus a tombola. Find us in the corner nearest the Foresters Arms. The cubs will be doing a ring show too.
The district paraded down East Grinstead High Street to celebrate St Georges Day and renew our promises. This year 1st Forest Row were at the front of the parade behind the band. Everyone looked fantastic dispite the rain and hail! Thanks to everyone who came. Happy birthday scout leader Adrian. Thomas if there was a sponge making badge you'd get one.
